Confessions of a ViNtAgE ScRaP BooK Addict

I decided for this 4th of July Holiday I would
share one of my real addic... I mean Passions.

I am in Love with Vintage Scrap Books
and of course that includes  The
Beautiful and Whimsical Vintage
Greeting Cards.

I sure Hope I don't bore you with
all the photos in this Post! But
sometimes a girl just has to share.

I am especially fond of the Greeting
Cards form the late 40's to and
thru the early 60's.

This Post consists of Pictures  I took
of 4 Different Scrap Books.

One Book is entirely of a Couples Wedding
in the 50's Starting with the Shower Cards.
It's just priceless

And then I have a little Boys Scrapbook
1951 Newborn to a Year Old

Darling Whimsical Cards
Just the kind I use in my Posy
Pocket Creations.

I got this Book for a real good Price
A lot of collectors don't want cards
that are taped in a book like this one.
The Cards have less value.
But for my use they are just fine.

This Outside Cover is Just Darling
I just love the Blue and Pink Graphics

I sure hope that you enjoyed this Post Today.
Like I said I am very much in love with Vintage
Greeting Cards and am always on the Hunt for
Favorites. Hope you have a Great July 4th
Lot's of Family, fireworks and good food!

These are lovely albums...How sad though that they get separated from the family. I still have mine but it is rather ragged from looking at it over the years. I love the colorful little cards. Some of mine were from my grandmother when she was in Florida and we were in California. I cherish them. Thank you for sharing.. Diane

I too adore the vintage cards, they are such a weakness! Once I found a whole bundle of cards a man received from his family while he was in WWII, including get well ones when he became injured. I can never have enough, but never found a scrapbook full! have fun collecting, Lori

Such delightful and precious finds.
I have all my cards from birth congrats to my parents onwards. They all live in a box in our loft but I really must get them down and 'do' something with them. Maybe I should look out for some vintage scrapbooks.
Hope you enjoyed 4th July celebrations.
