My Pages of Inspiration

Over the years I Have had Some Wonderful
Love Affairs With Various Magazines

Unfortunately Some, Well Most
of My Favorites Have Long Gone

To tell you the truth if I was to have kept them all
I would be a definite Candidate for the New
Reality Show Hoarder's!

So I park myself in front of the TV and browse
through each one and tear out my favorite pictures
and articles. And then add them to my
Inspiration Folder.
These are just some of my favs

When I'm feeling that my Creative Juices
are low to null, thats when I browse through them.
I highly suggest if you have not started an Inspiration
Folder of your own yet, make it a 2010 Goal!

I have finally gotten all the supplies
in and am offering a limited supply of my
Valentine Party Favor Cups
So if your interested you can find
Them in my Shop

Hope your having a Wonderful weekend it sure was fun
having a short work week. Thanks for stopping by I do
enjoy the company!
If the rain lets up I might hit a couple of
Estate Sales this weekend fingers crossed.

Hugs & Kisses

Hi, Diane! Looks like you've been keeping dry in all this rain and creating like crazy! Hey, did you post the pics of Jennifer's Christmas Cookie party?

I can see you sitting there, scissors in hand, cutting out all of the things that inspire you. I need to create a folder or book. I fold pages back and then don't get back to them... Great advice. Love the images and your cute Valentines Day cups!!

AFter a couple of months I do the same thing with my magazines... tear out the pages I love and recycle the rest. I need to organize the pages better... they are just laying in a little box, so it would be a good idea to get them sorted out.
I tear up all magazines except the ME Home Companion. Those are still intact, and stored nicely in a basket. Very sad that one is not around anymore.

Hi Diane,

I too have binders full of pages of inspiration from my favorite magazines. Sad to see that so many of them no longer exist. I guess in part due to the internet.

Love your Valentine party cups they are so delightful.

Enough of the rain already...I'm ready for the sun, I miss it!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Diane!
My back issues are getting a bit extreme... most of the ones I loved are gone, and I'm afraid to part with them. Did you ever read/subscribe to Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion? It was def. a favorite of mine... Victoria and Romantic Homes disappeared for a while, but now... they've come back to us!
I use the show Hoarders now, as an example in so many everyday conversations!!! LOL

I had started this process over the summer but haven't gotten back to it. So much inspiration in blog land that I don't even look at magazines anymore. I do have many to go through so need to get back to it again so that I can simply, declutter and organize around here. Love all your beautiful, crafty creations. Fun stuff! Have a great weekend. Blessings, Tammy

I do the same thing except for Mary E - can't bring myself to cut up her magazines. I even have the same page saved as you, the one with the trinkety picture frame! Have a lovely weekend. -amy

I do the same thing with my magazines! I put the pages into binders and they become one big magazine full of the things I love. Even though I have enough inspiration stored in the binders to keep me going for a long time - I love magazines!! I have to curb my enthusiasm when at the bookstore and I miss Mary Englebreit's Home Companion.

Just found your blog & so glad I did! I have been collecting magazine pics for the last 15 years, and am seriously amazed at how I am still drawn to the same basic style...I really love my idea notebook & totally agree w/ you in the great benefit of keeping one. I pull it out everytime I am at a loss of what to do somewhere....Can't wait to snoop around some more!!
