Weekend Garage Sale Saturdayfinds

The weather is just perfect for Garage Sales
Spring cleaning is on everyones mind !
And so what a perfect recipe for Great
Garage Sale Treasure Hunting!
Kermit 1976
This guy looks pretty good for his Age!

Went to a community Garage Sale held in a
Recreation Room for Seniors. No don't get
me wrong those kid of sales sound enticing
But really just sometimes these little sweet
older people just don't like to part with things
But taking that into consideration I did pretty good!

There was this very modern looking Photo Album
at a booth and when I looked inside in had pages
filled with these Lovely Postcards

A gal had a little baggie marked 25 cents
with these sweet little vintage millinery

And a very Worn but I'm sure Loved
and treasured 1930's School Girls
Autograph Book

Pages of her Sweet friends well wishes

And then there is a Date 1934
Wow to think this little book has been
kept from the dump for all these years!

Well I better get back to my Job, I have an appointment
to show clients some homes at 2:00 enjoy your day!
This daylight savings time thing is going to take some
getting use to!
Thanks for stopping by
Hugs,

I can't wait for garage sales to start here. I think we have a few more weeks then the newspaper will be filled with them.
It looks like you came across some great items. I just love the autograph book. I'm sure it holds many treasured memories for the former owner. How sweet.
Oh and Kermit is soooo cute!

I have heard a few stories about thrifters who are ready to walk out the door and bam! Something pops out. You hit the jackpot. I love the little millinery pieces!!

Kermit!! Diane, I have two kermits. One is sorta big (12"-14") with wire in his legs so I can make him sit in different poses. The other one is smaller (6"-7") and no wire. My Mom and Dad had one at their house too, and we girls would always grab Kermit and go put him somewhere else around the house... like in the Christmas nativity scene, or peaking out of a teapot... and Mom would find him later.

Hi Diane...you did get some treasures for sure. I don't know which I like better. Glad Spring has sprung there. We've got a ways to go.

Hey Diane,

Looks like you had a good time, I love treasure hunting like that. Unfortunately, due to my disability, I can't get around much, so my searches are done through eyes like yours and others out there doin' the good deed of hunting and sharing. Thank you.

Hugs,
Meri

LOVE Kermit!! I'm one of his biggest fans! The weather is just only starting to warm up here.. just touching the 50 degree mark, but hopefully hitting 60 by the weekend! So hopefully garage sales, estate sales, and all the fun of treasure hunting will begin soon! ~tina

Hi Diane,
OH HOW JEALOUS I am of the wonderful garage sale/tag sales folks like you come across! I don't know if it's Illinois or just THIS PART of Illinois, but garage sales RARELY have treasures like these...no Kermits, no autograph books, no postcards. Usually junk. Clothes. baby toys. Boo. I suppose I will have to live vicariously through you! YAY!

Hi Diane and Thanks for visiting me. What a heavenly haul you made there. The autograph book is sweet and so remindful of myself at the age of 12. Mine was turquoise and filled with autographs of wrestlers as that was a weekly outing with my Daddy to the Wrestling Matches! Happy St. Pat's to you as well, Mollye

Kermit is so wise for a frog that is, and today he's appropriately dressed in his Best GREEN. Thanks for stopping by my Texas Time Post and leaving a comment. I had to think about when I had visited your blog before, and I think it was for Pink Saturday. I didn't sign up to Follow then, but I did today...Lucky March 17th....Sue

"everlastingly your friend...." Oh my goodness that is just the sweetest! I was the recipient of a small letter my Grandmother wrote to my Grandfather and it is just the SWEETEST! It includes her asking about me as I was only 2 months old and she sent it from Europe on a trip. So it is special. One thing I remember is her SWEET words to him and how TENDER they were! What precious finds. I will have to do a blog post about her in April and share the letter. I really enjoyed this post! xo Molly
