Look Who I found....

Isn't she lovely?
This precious
Vintage Baby Doll
sat on a shelf at my local Thrift

She had no clothes.... her body is a bit stained
from storage over the years
she's missing some hair plugs

But when I looked beyond that at the twinkle
in her eyes.. which are perfect I might add

I just knew she was coming home with me...
It's really not often I find an old Baby Doll
at a thrift how about you?

I bought the little bonnet for $1
threw on a vintage baby dress and
she was ready for her photo shoot!

Oh, and the best part anything brown was 1/2 price

This Baby Doll's got brown hair...
so a whopping $2.50 and she came home with me..
Found some Vintage Paper Dolls too
I'll share those in our next visit..

Hey I think I'm going to name her..

"Twinkie"

What do you think?

She is just adorable. I actually looked at dolls like this on Etsy last night. I have a photo on my desktop of me holding a doll much like this one...when I was little. I always think I'll find one to replace it. I wish I knew what doll I was holding...maybe I should post it again and ask if anyone recognizes it. Enjoy your afternoon and your sweet dollie! She is happy to be loved now!

Wow, Diane-she's a little beauty. So, I take it you like to collect dolls? Me, too!! I got a Bratz Babyz Boy in the package for 1.99 yesterday at a thrift store. I also have a collection of old dolls that I collected through the years. Mom and I used to go to doll and teddy shows-now that was FUN!! Anyhoo, your new baby Twinkie has a beautiful face. Is she an Ideal doll? She was a great find!!!!

I don't really collect Dolls, I usually re-sell most of them and just keep a few. But I enjoy them for a bit before they go to their new home...

She looks very similar to my Tiny Tears doll that I've had since the early 60's. When you rock her back and forth her eyes close, and when you feed her she cries AND wets!! Such a sweet face, too! She was my all time favorite doll...thanks for the post :)

Hi Dianne!

Oh wow, look how cute she is!! Adorable! cute dress and bonnet! I picked up a vintage doll several months ago. She is one from the 1960's with the molded hair in a up-do. I made an outfit for her, out of my now 21 year olds pedal pushers. I will have to do a post on that. Great find!

Hugs,
Debbie
