Count-down to Christmas

Wow this has been a crazy December for me..
with my Mothers move I lost a couple of weekends...

Which meant decorating took a back seat...
So the first bit of decorating was in my Studio
the PINK girlie tree...

It's sure been nice to have this tree up
and each morning I plug in the lights
it's guaranteed to put a smile on my face..

I was ready to do a bit more decorating but when the
tragedy hit in Sandy Hook..
It was so hard to be in any kind of
celebrating mood...

Every time I think about my 8 little grand-peeps
and how sweet their expressions are when they
have discovered something new..

(2 of our 8 peeps)

I am very, very Thankful Indeed
Keeping in mind not to take things for granted,
and that life is a gift...

So underneath our little Pine Tree

Sits 8 Christmas Gift Bags
Filled with special delights
for each of our Grands...

I don't need anything for Christmas
I have it all....
I am very Thankful..

I love your post it is very sweet, and, yes life is a gift <3

Your decorations are beautiful! I wish I had some of my parents old tree balls they were so much better than the ones out in the stores today.

You are right. It's been hard to get into the Christmas spirit since the tragedy at the school. I think it has made everyone appreciate their loved ones even more!
Have a wonderful Christmas with your 8 little ones Diane!

Just having your family with you, it's everything, isn't' it? What a very lucky Grandma you are! I love your Christmas village with all the trees. I have a little woodland village set up on our piano too. And I spy some of those sweet little chenille kitty cats on the tray... those are so adorable! Wishing you and your family a very happy Christmas!

Merry christmas, Diane! That close up of the pink and white indent ornament is so sweet!

I do stockings for my grands. All I need to do is get the candy for them now! I've been shopping all year for the good stuff.

I know all those little lambs we lost in the shooting would want us to keep celebrating Christmas *for them*. It comforts me to think of them looking on at ALL the decorations. ♥
