New Vintage Treasures

Now just what is it about things
from the late 60's
they stir a warm and comforting
memory within us..

These Paper Dolls a reminder of the hours
my sister and I played with them..
First being very careful to cut the clothes out
and then taking turns picking out which one
would be ours that day...

Oh and these little Easter Chicks
"Made In Japan" not sure what it is
about them but the new ones made in China
just don't compare...
I love the wire wrapped feet
I don't think I could ever have enough

I played paperdolls in the 60's too. I could never get my girls that interested in them though.

My sister and I played with paper dolls, too. I don't think children even know what they are anymore. You've found a wonderful old treasure. And those chicks!! Sweet.

Oh my gosh, LOVE those paper dolls!!! Yes, I loved playing with them when I was just a kid, but the last time I purchased paperdolls, for collecting purposes, was when I found a booklet of Clark Gable as Rhett Butler with Gone With The Wind outfits!! Oh my gosh, what a happy day THAT was! (0; Hope your day's a happy one! ~tina

I love paper dolls, too! I also played with them a lot! I was sick a lot when I was little, so these were perfect to play with in bed! I've often thought of collecting them, along with wanting a dollhouse ... I swear I am going back to my childhood by wanting things I played with and loved so much!!!

Oh, I had paper dolls and loved them! - I spent hours dressing them in their vast wardrobe. I haven't seen them in years.

Ahhh! That box of Easter Chicks looks sooo good! And whether it's paper dolls or a little book, if it's marked "Whitman" it's always something that I NEED!
Great Finds Diane! :)

I know I gush, I can't help myself; but Diane you vicariously let all of us tag along with you on your vintage treasure hunts. Your Easter bunnies are already on my Wish List, they are so cute! E

I loved paper dolls and would always cut the tab off that you hung over the doll so the dress would stay on.
I don't remember if I used scotch tape on them? I bet I did

Your Merri and Ginny dolls are wonderful!! As you probably know, I LOVE paperdolls. My sister and I played with them when we were kids. It was truly one of my favorite thing to do. My daughter played with them when she was young. And I still collect them.
