Always Loved Paper Dolls

I have so many fond memories
of playing for hours with paper dolls...

Once we purchased the dolls we wanted
we sat at the kitchen table and started to cut away..

I really took pride on taking my time and making sure
to cut very carefully and when we
were done then the playtime began...

How about you did you play with paper dolls?

Oh absolutely! I still do.
And my Mama used to make paperdoll chains for us, like the one the kitty is holding. :-)

Oh, YES! I loved paper dolls too! It would be fun to have the old ones that I would play with. Where did those years go?!
Keeping you in my prayers!
Warmly,

I still love paper dolls! They are so sweet and fun to cut out and dress. We just watched Polyanna and I was wishing I had some of those paper dolls! I remember them. Sweet hugs!

What memories! We use to play with them at my grandmother's because she didn't have cable and only received 2 fuzzy channels-local news and PBS. We also colored alot and read Nancy Drew mysteries. Thanks for the sweet memories :)

As a little girl, I could hardly wait for my grandmothers McCall's magazine and the Betsy paper doll. I used to make my own outfits for her too. xo

Paper dolls were one of my faves as a kid, and I still love them. I'm trying to get my grands to enjoy them too, but at this stage, most end up torn.

Hi Diane,

Thanks for stopping by recently with thoughts and prayers for my mom. I always played with paper dolls, too. However, it wasn't until I was about 12 or 13 as my older sister worked in a fabric shop and would bring home the pattern catalogs and I'd cut those fashion renderings out and play with them. We didn't have the "real" paper dolls to play with.

Hugs,
Meri
