Christmas DIY Project

During the Summer I found a bag of
Darling Metal Molds from Sweden

They've been hanging around the Studio..
Just waiting to be altered

Last night I decided to get started
First off make a little paper pattern

Then cut the paper for the backing
you can also use some Vintage holiday wrapping paper
add a few dabs of glue...

Measure out the right length of
Vintage Garland and glued it in place~

I then found a miniature Bottle Brush Tree
and secured it in the mold

You can use any sweet Holiday Miniature
that you might have around~

I drilled a small hole in the top of each mold
so now I need to add the hanger
and embellish each ornament a bit more

When I get these completed I'll show you
just how darling they display on a Tree..
They are fairly simple and you can get as creative
as you want! Using all the goodies you already have.

Get that Glue Gun Going!

What a lucky find! and you did the perfect thing with them. I'm sure they will look lovely on your tree. I have found a few of the bigger molds, but these look smaller than mine. I still will try out this idea. Thanks!

These are very creative and sparkly. I like the tiny trees and the cardinal and they will look great on a tree.

Such a clever idea! I have a bunch of those, not quite as shiny as yours since I baked little tart shell in them once upon a time.

This is a cute idea - I just love the one with the little red cardinal in it! They are sure to look quite sparkly on a tree.

As a Scandinavian from Minnesota I'll tell you that those Sandbakkels tins were never happier than now that they have a new life as a Christmas miniature frame!

Super cute idea, Diane. I had the same idea about remaking some thrift shop Christmas decorations but not many out yet. So I have been Christmas crafting from scratch!

Oh my goodness, I had a whole bag of these in my shopping cart at a thrift store one time. But I couldn't think of a use for them, so I put them back! Darn! These are adorable!!
