Sweetness of Storybook Dolls & A Giveaway

I've always been a girly Girl...
the kind of girl that played with dolls
I had Barbie, Ken and Midge
I had Ginny Dolls and Paper Dolls
and a Deluxe Dream Kitchen

Tammy Doll, Penny Brite I even had
one of those Cardboard Tammy Houses!
Oh and let's not forget our Mother collected
Blue Chip stamps and on a Birthday or Christmas
I can't remember which
my sister Carrie and I got a Tin Dollhouse!

But we never had any Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls
That wasn't until I was a young adult
and a dear friend of our Mothers gave us a few..
And that started the Love and a bit of
a Collection.....

And now since they are a bit pricey
I look for the orphans...and I like to
add a bit of charm up-cycle them
and give them new Homes...

Now this little girl with the deers has a loose arm
a little tear in her dress and her hair is a bit of a mess
But once I give her maybe a Crown
and add a little Vintage Lace and ribbon
She'll be ready to look for a new home too.

 It's Spring!
And the weather is starting to change
and then next we will greet Summer ready for Outdoor Dining
visits to the beach and lakes.. hanging around the swimming pool
Long days staying daylight until around 8PM..
Sounding good ugh?

So lets all Celebrate
I am having a Giveaway...
Yes just like the old Blogging Days...
Leave Comment and your name will be in the Hat

You are a girly-girl and it shows in the absolutely adorable creations you design. I have a sign I painted years ago over my craftroom door, "A Happy Childhood Lasts Forever". I think it is true, and it sounds like your childhood was filled with love and play. Your dolls are wonderful!

I have one Storybook doll, but she doesn't have the sweet additions you've added to yours! Every photo looks like a wonderful magical kingdom. Adorable!!

Thank you so much for the giveaway offer, but as delish as those ice cream sandwiches look, we are gluten and dairy free in our house to accommodate my IBS. Please let some other lucky follower win. :o)

It's always a treat to visit you blog and see your whimsical creations. Happy Easter, Diane!

I didn't know what these dolls were called, I've found a few during my Junquing Trawls and they always sell so fast when I put them in my flipped finds to find them new homes, no wonder! I like learning the History of some of the great Found Treasures I come across and am drawn to. The Thrill of the Hunt keeps me jazzed even if I cannot keep most of it. I was never a girly-girl but I do have some fond memories of Vintage Toys... Liddle Kiddles being one of them so when I Scored a couple of old ones I did stash them away for Nostalgia for my 2nd Childhood! *LOL* Dawn... The Bohemian

Hi.....I just bought 2 items from you on etsy. I am not sure how I even came across you, but I am glad I did. Someone who loves these things like I do! I just can't get enough of them. I have many boxes of old things I need to get out and display in different ways. I love the way you do it. I wish I had more time. Of course my color is pink! Then aqua. I love baby and girly items. It sounds like you love and have alot of the same things I do. You give me inspiration to start creating and decorating! Randi
