Vintage Collectible Linens

Embroidered Linens
Seems to be a lost Art!

I recently was gifted a couple of bags of vintage Linens
Looking through them I was amazed at all
the beautiful designs  and just how
different each piece is...

There are lots of matching pillowcases
with tatting also added to the edges.

And a lot of table or dresser runners again
such a variety of designs.

In one of the Bas this Mid-century Linen Kitchen Tea Towel

And signed by the Artist which sent me on a bit
of a social media hunt. And which I came to find out
Pat was a Artist started her career in the late 50's
and did illustrations for a vast amount of Children's Books.
If you have some spare time look her up!

This beauty an Irish Tea Towel that has never been used!
And Yes Pink its always a favorite!

I hope you have enjoyed my little share
Its really amazing to think all of these were hand stitched.

I guess it could be a cool thing to do
while sitting and watching TV at night.
Let me know if you actually do this kind of hand-work?

Take care of yourselves I'll be back
with another post soon!
