Visit to the Thrift Store!

I Love the Hunt!
I found Vintage Pottery!

While Hubby went to Lowes and Home Depot
I had him drop me off at a not so local Goodwill.
I actually had a good amount of time to kill while hubby was doing his thing.
And I was able to look through all the clothing racks which rarely
happens I'm usually short on time.

On another post I'll share my secret and strategy on
just where to start looking when checking
out the multi crazy clothing racks.
Stay tuned for updates on that!

But this particular day while on the hunt,
I didn't find any clothing I wanted.
But buried in the stacks of Kitchen ware and
there tends to be a lot of that.
I spotted these two wonderful vintage Batter Bowls!
A Bauer bowl what a cool find!
And in pristine condition.
The Other an oven proof Marcrest Daisy Dot bowl.

Needless to say they both came home with me!
Aren't they the perfect Autumn colors?
I can see the larger one filled with my
Halloween Trick-or-treat candy this October.

I don't always come home with a Treasure.
But when I do I think it was a "Meant to be" kind of day.

Stay Cool,

Saved from the Bins!

Rescuing Memories

It's not just about rescuing vintage dolls before they
disappear in the bottom of the thrift store bin.
It's about restoring the heartwarming memories
& childhood imagination that comes along with them.
Breathing new life in lost forgotten treasures.
Most of the Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls are at least 86 years old!

If I find them in the perfect collectors condition
I either add to my own collection or find them a new home.

Over the years I have been gifted some collections
from a family member that just didn't know what to
do with their Mothers Collection.

These Bisque dolls needed a cleaning the dress's
were either soiled or had some wear
typical over time.

So in those situations I wash iron the dress and
add some ribbon and bling giving
the Doll a chance to be loved
all over again!

And yes some come to me broken
the half bodies I have used to make mermaids.
And the ones that need to be re-strung well
I actually figured out how to tackle that!

Here is a glimpse of just that!

Some of the "Special Ones" added to my collection
are the Gifted ones. These were sent from a dear friend
all the way from Alaska to California!

The little Blonde in the Yellow dress will need
a bit of Upcycling maybe add some hair
she lost over the years.

Its funny when I was young I never had a Storybook Doll.
I had a Ginny Doll and I loved her. (She needs to be re-strung)
But my two older sisters had a Storybook Doll and I always
loved the pretty polka dot boxes they came in.

When ever I spot an orphan out in the wild
if the price is fair I'll rescue it!

My Best,

Quarantine Crafting In The Studio

With months of staying home its really made me appreciate
the hobbies I have...
Crafting and Creating Sweet Keepsakes for my Etsy Shop
has always been a passion of mine...

Unfortunately Etsy has disappointed me .. it seems that there
are so many craft supplies and commercial items being sold..
and a lot of people that just copy others work!
And my Creations have just sat and sat ...
Giving me a Kinda sick feeling that maybe no one likes what I create!
so I set out to look  for new outlets to sell my handmade treasures..

I'm Happy to say I have found a couple outlets for my Designs
and I am feeling once again energized that people out there
actually like my Creations...

Sales are up and I'm getting positive feedback compliments
from buyers... with all the turmoil going on in the World right now
having this positive response well..... its a GOOD thing

And I'm back to my Blog staying positive..

Thanks for Visiting

A Cottage Dollhouse

Buying Real Estate!
Yes I've put a down on an adorable
Green Country Cottage!
Darling wood shake roof... white trim
Hunter green shutters and flower boxes!
And a Hunter Green Front Door!

Charming interior...
light wood floors, baseboard trim,
Large windows making it light & Bright!
Sweet decorative staircase to the second story!

Beautifully wallpapered throughout
It's used so it will require some repairs
but they appear to be minor...

I'll Meet up with the owner on Tuesday to close on this Charmer..

About a year or so ago I sold the Dollhouse I had...
the grands got older didn't play with it much and it was
pretty large taking up way too much space..
So I sold it!

I've been on the hunt to find a small Cottage..
I picked up this "New Construction"
On Facebook Marketplace
Yes, it's small like I want but not much more I
can say about it....Walls are thin not very sturdy
and I really didn't know where or how to begin
on the New Build!

I'm very excited to have found a Dollhouse that I think will work
out perfectly in the space I have..

I promise to share an update when it comes home with me!

Thanks for Stopping By
